Emotional Chaos Chapter 3

Hayden's release! Complete chaos!


He raised his hand and suddenly this jagged point of ice shot up at me!

"Nugh!"

I instinctively dodged it…but only just.

Another shot up.

"Geh!"

And again.

"Ahh!"

And again!

"Dam it! The fights only just started and he's already got me on the run."

Dodging his attacks wasn't enough! I need to think outside the box, but…

SWIIPPPE!

"Daaah!"

Dam it! It cut me! My leg has taken a hit so early in the fight! …Pheeew, don't get irritated…stay calm and you will think of something.

"Woah"

I got it!

I grabbed the edge of the ice as it came at me and jumped over it!

"Hmm?"

"Euurgh! Eurgh! Ahh!"

I kept jumping them, but…

I can already see by his evil smile that he's just playing with me.
This guy must an ice elemental user. I've never seen one before, but I've heard of them, I've only seen the basic elements but this is a new one. This battle is going to be tricky.

"You wanna play huh? Well eat this!"

I concentrated my fire energy in the shape of a ball and put my hand in it and re-shaped it in the form of a blade. My fire blade was back in action!

"Nice little trick you've got there, but your not going to win with only that."

"Watch me!"

More jagged ice chunks flew at me from the ground, one at a time they came, dodging one after the other! I need to take some action!

"HAA!"

FWOOOSH!!

I chopped at the pieces of ice as they came; they melted as the fire touched it.

"Hyaaa! Hyaaa! Haaa! Haaaa! Yaaaa! Haha! Piece of cake!"

"Hahaha! I admit you're pretty speedy, but this battle is far from over! Think you can you handle this?"

His hands gave out this force…the pieces of jagged ice became faster, bigger and more aggressive, they began to form over each other for support. I started to have problems.

"Ahhh! What th-! HAAA!"

I was cutting through them, but they just kept building over each other, I didn't get much of a chance to attack them! But I had an idea!

"Hahaha, you really shouldn't have accepted this challenge, this is pathetic!"

"Stop underestimating me! HYAA!"

Every time a jagged piece of ice shot at me, I twisted my body around it and swiped.

SWIFFFTTT!

"HAA!!"

FWWWOOOOSSHHH!

Again!

SWIFFFTT!

"YAA!"

FWWOOOSH!

It was effective, but I didn't know how long I was going to last. They just kept coming and my wound from yesterdays fight is still affecting me, the crowd was hooked on the battle, nobody was talking, they were just aching to see what happens next.

"Hmmph… for a person who has hardly has any control over his power, you certainly know how to stay alive."

Stay alive!? Is this guy aiming to kill me?

"Well don't give me no handicap now hehehe! …Aaaah!"

Talking is putting me off; I need to be a lot more careful!

"Don't worry, you wont stay alive long enough for me to even attempt to give you one."

This guy really is trying to kill me! But why!?

The pieces of ice are…retracting back in the ground? What's going on?

"You haven't even been able to land an attack on me yet, I'm not entertained enough I'm going to change my formation."

"Change your formation?"

"Yes or for idiots like you…change my strategy!"

He pointed his hands to the floor and let out his energy, the ground started to turn clear and sparkling, it spread out around the area, it's was a wonderful sight, but no doubt a dangerous tactic! His territory surrounded me………with ice!

"Hmmp, hmmp, hmmp, I haven't even begun to show you my true potential! HAH!"

Without warning, a giant jagged like block of ice rose from the ice he created, it was huge, my mouth gaped open because I knew this would be a much bigger problem, the ground even began to shake while it rises but in a way, I was worried about what he was going to do with it.

"I hope your ready for this! The true fight has yet to begin! Hahaha!"

"You got that right you freak!"

"Alright then!"

The giant jagged block of ice stopped rising……everything became silent…I readied myself with a stance for offence. Then he suddenly proclaims:

"Shatter!"

The ice broke and split into loads of little sparkling pieces of pointed ice. There was so many I knew what he was going to do!

"You've met your maker, Ryuichi Yoshihara! ……Hah!"

"Nnhh!"

The pointed pieces of ice faced me and he fired them at me one at a time! This started to become a worry, but I had no choice……I had to block them…dodging them is too risky, If slip it's all over!

"Raah! Ha! Ha! YA!"

Fwoooosh, Fwoosh! Fwoosh! Fwoooosh!

There's way too many! I can't take them all! I may have to take some hits! This is going to hurt!

SWIPPPE!

Cut my arm!

Chhnnk! Chhnnk! Chhnnk! Chhnnk! Chhnnk! Chhnnk!

"Huh!"

Straight threw my arm! The broken piece of ice plunged into my arm like tissue paper! And pulling it out may be a problem! But I still kept on attacking the ice! If I stopped at that moment, I probably would have died!

One slicing across my face cutting my cheek! I'm not down yet! He's almost out of ice. My friends are counting on me to stay alive! And stay alive I will!

I jumped into and break the little piece of ice is several little pieces and gave a cocky smiling expression as the little bits fell to the icy ground.

"So what do you think of th- what!? Where'd he go?!"

He disappeared but ho-!?

"Guuh-!"

My……My face… He punched me……in the face……while I was destroying the little chunks of ice, he was…sneaking up from the side and preparing his attack and also his hand feels……so hard…like it was made from stone, my cheeks bone felt like it was going to break and…I never knew someone who could move so easily on ice like that…he practically floated on it.

FYEEEOOOUUU!

The pressure from the punch threw me off the ground for a couple of seconds…so easily.

CRAAAASSSHHHH!

RYU!!!

"Ayane…don't worry about Ryuichi…or else he will worry about you…this match might not be over yet…have faith in him."

"Ryu……I know why, but……it hurts."

"Impressive isn't it…I turned my hand into ice for extra damage along with hitting you with my energy… the perfect combination…somehow I knew you wouldn't last with the energy you had…… Mr Hisashi…I do believe this match has ended…"

He's walking away. The sound of the crowd is so…quiet. Are they sad? Are they happy? I don't really care. All I know is…my friends believe in me…they don't want me in this position…they want me to win……I even made a promise…so…I……

"Did I get the wrong person?"

I WILL NOT LOSE!!!

"Where the hell do you think your going!?"

He turns his head as I stand with a frustrated look on his face as I stood up.

"It's rude to turn back on your opponent you know."

He turned around slowly. Blood starts to drip down my mouth.

"Hmmph! Hmmph! Hmmph! I'm impressed with your determination, but are you sure you can keep going in the position your in?"

I wiped the blood of my mouth, but the ice piece in my arm still stood…bleeding, but I didn't care…………… Killing me……somehow makes me laugh.

"I told you before didn't I? Don't underestimate me!"

I looked over at the crowd and saw Ayane, Shinji and Hitomi. Ayane looked like she was going to cry tears of joy and scarily enough……so was Shinji and Hitomi-san gave the cheesiest smile and gave me a thumbs up, hehe, but I also noticed someone else in the crowd…Manami-san was watching………she looks……really worried.
They're counting on me so I wont let them down!

"Let's carry on then! Battle COMMENCES!!"

"It seems I had the right guy after all."

Right guy? What's he talking about? But I don't care about that now, I have to concentrate! I'm almost out of energy, even my fire blade has gone and I doubt I can bring it back again; I haven't had enough rest especially from yesterdays fight!

"Show me some of your potential Yoshihara! HAH!"

Shit! Not that big chunk of ice again! I need a plan for this one, but there's no time!

Right! If he's going to do the same thing as last time, I'm going to need to counter it! Here they come!

I dived under the ice as they flew through the air like flocks of birds and slid on the ice on the ground to get some movement towards him.

Froowh! Froowh! Froowh! Froowh! Froowh! Froowh! Froowh! Froowh!

"Hahaha! Idiot! Doing something so reckless!"

Looks like he's coming from the front this time!
I used the last bit of energy I had to melt the ground as I slid and friction was on my side also so I used this chance to handstand and kick him in the head when he reached me!

"It's my recklessness that helps me win!"

He slid across the ice ready to attack me! …He's so close! My chance is now!
I did my handstand and…

"FOOL!"

"DAAH!……wh- huh!?"

The hit was success! But why did his head break into little pieces of shattered ice? Was it a substitute? I don't understand.
I flipped back over and regained my balance.

"Hah… hah… hah…hah"

I panted vigorously……I was exhausted and the fight from yesterday has taken it's toll on me now…but I was more worried about what just happened and where the real one has dissappe-

Blood spurted out of my mouth like a fountain.
He………turned himself into……ice!? And He……hid…in the ice he put down!?………This was all……a trap from the beginning! He made an ice clone…… from before do his bidding while he hid readying for an attack!

…………My………stomach.

The Yuki guy reformed back to skin and bones and started barraging me with punches while he talked…

"You were never!"

Pffh! Pffh! Pffh! Pffh!

"Aah! Da-! Guh!"

"A match for me!"

Pffh! Pffh! Pffh! Pffh!

"Aaaaah!"

Hit after hit I tried to defend but I didn't have the energy to block nor nullify bits of the pain with my energy, I didn't even have the energy to make a noise as he hit me anymore. More and more blood flew out of my mouth.
I looked over to the audience……people were worried……the match is going too far……my friends……are almost…in tears.

"You will not win!"

Pffh! Pffh! Pffh! Pffh! Pffh!

"YOSHIHARA!!"

The final blow!

PFFFFFFHHHHHHHHHH!!!

A huge amount of blood shot out of me, I flew through the air like a dead man being thrown out of a plane, but……with a whisper, all I said was:

"……………D………Damn it!"

I hit the ground hard! This yuki guy was the winner………but nobody was impressed…I could here them panicking!

"RYU!! RYU!!"

She was crying. I made my childhood friend, the only person who really knew me……cry. I heard Shinji and Hitomi-san holding her back saying.

"Ayane calm down, please! You can't go to him until the match is officially over!"

But even Shinji was shaking in his voice like he……was going to cry……………I'm sorry…everyone…

The yuki guy walked over to me…stood in front of me……kneeled down……and grabbed me from my shirt and blazer.

"You're a disgrace, Ryuichi Yoshihara. I expected better of you…I'm really disappointed."

My body wouldn't move. My eyes were closed shut. I was……knocked out.

"I've never met somebody as pathetic as you!"

Someone from my class called out to the teacher.

"Hey! Mr.Hisashi! That's enough! Yoshi-kun can't move anymore! The battle is over!"

Everyone begins to shout.

"Yeah, that's enough now sir!"

"He's had enough, let him go!"

"He's managed to last a long time, that's enough!"

Everyone is sticking up for me? Is this out of pity?

Mr Hisashi walks over to the Yuki guy.

"Alright Yukimura, the match is over, if you could just step awa-"

"Don't tell me when the match is over! I decide when its over so back off!"

He threatened Mr Hisashi!

"Wh-!"

Ice started to shoot up from the ground to back him away from our fight. He meant business. He backed up to where the students were.

"Mr Hisashi! Do something!"

"I'm afraid I can't attack him! It's against the law and my contract!"

"If you wont do something."

"Then we will!"

Everyone started charging at Yukimura and me. Were they saving me!?
……But it's too late……
He forms a jagged piece of ice in his hand with a point sharper than a knife.

"Goodbye…"

He raises it… Ayane cries out to me while crying herself.

"RYUUU!!!"

"Ryuichi YoshiHARA!!"

"RYUICHIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That's it………………………I'm dead.



DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!

Just before the pointed end of the ice hits me, I grabbed Yukimura hand and start to put pressure on it.
Everyone stops in surprised. Especially Ayane."

"Ugggh!"

"Ryu……kun?"

I can see………but I'm not the one moving.

My hand started to crush Yukimura's hand.

"Gaah!"

My hand……is turning………a purplish black colour!

Claws are forming from my fingers!
My strength is increasing!
My back is shining purple!?
My hair started to change from red and spiky to purple and wildly spiky and even crowned at the front.
My eyes turned from green to yellow and my round pupil turn into slits like cats eyes
No………NO!……I'm …I'm turning into a shadow!


Yukimura's hand becomes crushed and breaks the ice he was holding……the power is becoming intense. Yukimura screams in pain.

"GAAAAAAAAHH!!! Guuh! Rrrrrrrrr! Yoshi……hara……what…are you?"

I stand up still gripping his hand intensely.
A new voice speaks!?

Heh! Heh! Heh! Ryuichi……Yoshihara……is no longer HERE!!

BOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!

A sudden burst of intense dark power shoots out from the shadows feet the power twisted around the shadow and in all directions, cracking the ground and shaking it and breaking the ice lying around it, the Yukimura flies several metres away from it. Everyone panics and runs towards the school where the track is.
Wait a minute!? Isn't our job to stop shadows and destroy them? Why are they panicking so much?

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

Yukimura gave a devious smile.

"There he is………………………Project Hayden."

Ayane………terrified over this creature shakes in terror of what Ryuichi has become and it's power.

"Ryu-kun is…………………no…………NO!…………NO! He can't be!"

Everyone else is shocked and their eyes were widened beyond belief over this creature's power, even Shinji. Everyone can sense it.  Manami-san puts her hand on Ayane's shoulder for comfort, but Ayane jumps into her arms almost ready to cry, while Manami-san gives an extremely worried face.

"HAHAHAHAHA!! FREEDOM AT LAST! HEHEHEHAHAHA!!!

Yukimura's eyes widen!

"You………you can talk!!?"

"HAHA! YOU BETTER BELIEVE I CAN TALK, FOOLISH HUMAN!! And I also must thank you for setting me free even though it's only temporary, heh, heh, heh! But I'm afraid I have to KILL YOU NOW!!"

"DIE YOU SHADOW!!"

Yukimura raises his hand.

"HAAH!"

Hundred of pointed ice pieces form a trail over to the shadow yet the shadow did not move and just folds his arms, but the ice catches his leg as the trail start to crawl up the shadows body, the shadow gave a small laugh and smiles.

"Hmmp, hmmp, hmmp, hmmp, hmmmmp how sad."

BOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!

The shadow uses his energy to bring up powerful force that broke the ice that was crawling up his body, destroys the trail and a strong wind force flows at Yukimura.

"Nnnnh! …………He's much stronger than I thought."

"HAHAHA! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT SUPPOSE TO BE!? HAHA! If you're the strongest person here then EVERYONE WILL DIE!! HAHAHAHA!

"SHUTUP SHADOW!! TAKE THIS THEN!!"

The jagged ice popped up at the shadow at an alarming speed…much faster than he was when he was fighting me and a lot more were forming at an alarming rate, but every time time a piece of ice came up at the shadow, it broke instantly. The shadow laughs crazily.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

Yukimura whispered these words to himself:

"Shit! This is no good! I have to win! Lets try some combat then!"

He starts sliding on the ice towards the shadow.

"Hmmp, hmmp, hmmp, you still don't learn do you!?"

SHHHIIIINNNNGGGG!

Yukimura forms an ice blade on his wrist and turns his whole arm into ice.

"SHUT UP AND DIE SHADOW!!"

He points his ice blade at the shadow but before it hit……

"Wh-What!?"

A black shield has formed around the shadow and parried Yukimura's attack. The shadow just smiles and laughs.

"HEH! HEH! HEH!"

When it hit…………

CHHHIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!

A strong force broke Yukimura into a thousand little pieces. I just hope he's thankful he used an ice clone, but……the shadow knew that it was a clone and already knew where the real one was. The shadow laughs insanely.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!"

The shadow turns his direction to the right and holds out his arm and a ball of darkness appears in his hand.

I KNOW WHERE YOU'RE HIDING YOU SHITFACED HUMAN!!

BAAAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGGG!!

A dark powerful, but small beam shoots out of the shadows hand. Yukimura points his hand to the ground.

"HAAH!"

A giant block of ice forms in front of Yukimura like an ice wall, but……

CHHHSSSSSSHHHHHH!!

It breaks through the wall with no effort whatsoever.
Yukimura only just had enough time to dive out of the way.

"Guuuh!"

The power shakes the grounds furiously and leaves a broken trail in the ground when the beam stopped.
Yukimura got up. He was tired. His energy is almost gone. He realises he was almost out of options.

"Hah, hah, hah, hah, D-Damn it!"

PFFFFFFHHHH!!

"Guuuh!"

The Shadow appeared in front of Yukimura in a black aura form and punched him point blank in the stomach. This time, blood splurted out his own mouth.

"HAHAHAHAHA!! This is a move I call shift. I can appear anytime, anywhere. You had no chance of winning."

Yukimura kneels down at the pain. As more and more blood poured out of his mouth.

"Hmmp, hmmp, hmmp, that was fun! But I will let you watch me kill all your little friends over there. HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

He starts walking over to the people with a scary smile, everyone gasped and started to shake. Some people even started to cry. It was a horrible sight for me to see, but the shadow gorged on it and enjoyed it.

HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Yukimura gets up and says:

"HEY SHADOW!!"

The shadow turns towards Yukimura.

"Hmm?"

"Signature move! Giant ICE SPEAR!!"

Above Yukimura's head with both of his arms pointed upwards and his hands flat was a huge ice burg like sharp piece of ice which looked like it could sink the titanic itself.

"HEH! HEH! HEH!"

"HAH! HAH! HAH! DIE! SHADOW!"

He threw giant ice spear with an amazing speed. The shadow has got a run for his money now!

"Too easy…"

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!

The Shadow grabbed the giant ice spear……with his fingers… though it let out a gushing wind yet the shadow didn't move a muscle except for his hair movement from the wind. Yukimura was really shaken up from this.

"IM…………IMPOSSIBLE!"

"My name is not shadow…"

CRRAACCCCKKKKKK!

The shadow put pressure from his fingers into the ice. The giant ice spear started to break; giant cracks were shown from the start of it to the end.

"My name………IS HAYDEN!!"

CCCCCCHHHHHHHHHSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH!!!

He……broke……the spear………with his fingers!
As it broke Yukimura eyes widened as far as they could go. Hayden just gave a terrifying chuckle. Yukimura was out of energy. He has lost.

"No……no way……."

"HAHAHAHAHA!!"

Hayden shifts over in front of Yukimura once again.

"GAAAH!"

He punches Yukimura in chest, blood just kept coming out his mouth and his breathing suddenly became a problem.
He got punched over 20 metres.

WOOOOOSH!!

"Guuh!"

CRAAAASSSSSHHH!!

He landed harshly, smoke developed and wore off and just left a defenceless Yukimura with blood pouring down his mouth and he's wheezing quickly. He was still conscious. Hayden starts walking over to Yukimura giving his final words:

"Hmmp! Hmmp! Hmmp! How shameful! You weren't putting enough of your energy into your attacks, and I'm nowhere near my full power yet! But your death………is IMMINENT!!!"

Hayden jumps into the air and charges down at Yukimura! The wind blows back at Hayden at a powerful rate and force. He puts a large amount of dark energy into his fist that is so strong that his dark energy is shown through his arm.

"DIEEEEEE!!! STUPID HUMAN!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"



My voice shot through the shadows mind!

"NOOOOOOOOO!"

My back is shining again?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

The area around Yukimura breaks and crumbled like a house falling down. But did I kill him? The smoke around from the blow started to clear.

"………………Yoshi………hara?"

"I d-don't kno-know who y-you are………b-but……gggghhh!…………I ……wouldn't kill a human person………… i-in my…………"

Everything's going……black…I'm……fading.

"Life………ughhh…"

Did………did I lose?

I blacked out.

"Hah, hah, hah, hah, that was………amazing power."

"RYUICHIIII!!"

Everyone gathers around me trying to wake me up.

"Somebody get him to the nurses office!!"

Yukimura was completely ignored, gets up slowly and steps away from the crowd and grabs some kind of communicator from his ear.

"I couldn't win…………at all……… I had no chance of winning………he's become too strong already………he's impossible."

He throws his communicator on the ground, crushes it and says:

"I give up on you…………Zenpachi."

A mysterious shadow in the top window of the school with dark blue eyes and long brown hair tied up half way was watching………was watching everything.
